Television Hampers The Mental and Physical Growth

Television Hampers The Mental and Physical Growth Of a Child

I would like to begin with a brilliant quote:

"When you finish watching a TV series, you don’t know what to do with your life anymore…"

What happens when we watch TV, we cultivate negative energy. Most of what we see is bad news, disasters and wars, violence and horror movies. What we see we believe and inculcate in our lives. Our mind is the most impressionable one; anything printed wrong on it is difficult to remove and thereby reflects in our personality.

One good reason, why to watch TV, does it make you any smarter, think smarter?

Television certainly has much to offer and without any doubt is a great invention, but when it comes to relying on it, weather to be informed or entertained, it can affect us negatively as most of the TV shows are fictions and provide a shrewd view of the world around us.

It’s a universal fact that students spend most of their time watching TV than any other activity. Time spend watching TV takes away from important activities like – reading, writing, school work, playing, exercising, family interaction etc.

If the TV craze continues, we would destined to have a nation of loggerheads; the next generation will have eyes as big as cantaloupes and no brain at all.

I would like to conclude with a quote by Mr. Warren Buffet-

"Poor people have TV rich people have a big library"

  5. Very True. We all should spend time reading as it enhances our creativity. Watching TV all the time can block our mind and prevent us from seeing the real world.
