A Day In Village
A day in Village
We planned a holiday to a village near our city. I had never
been to village so was quite excited. We prepared the entire road map to village
that included bus, Tonga and a long distance walk. Next morning we woke up at 4am
and got ready by 6 to catch the bus. It took us around 2 hours to reach Pakhli.
There we took a Tonga and headed our way towards Basri. In about an hours’ time
we reached Basri. The way to village is an alley, three kilo meters away from
Basri, so pedestrian walk was the only option. It took around an hour to reach
the village.
As we reached, we had sugarcane juice and locally available
snacks. We took some rest and thereupon outset for a jaunt on a bullock cart, enjoyed
the sweet-smelling, fresh air , saw clean muddy roads, farmland studded with
maize, men and women working in fields, village post office, hospital, panchayat,
school and a lot many things that were a way different from city. I could hear
students rhyming rhymes, which reminded me my kindergarten.
It was 3’o clock we had
our lunch. I saw the children playing. I joined them. We even enjoyed the tube
well bath, I made new friends and together we had a lot of fun. We reached home
late at evening, completely exhausted. It was a nice trip indeed.
