Discipline

Discipline

Discipline is habit, practice and experience designed to develop and grow certain qualities. Discipline is the training of mind and character. Self-discipline refers to controlling your own actions.

You move your feet regularly one after the other, nobody forces you to do so; similarly, sun rises in the east and sets in the west; earth revolves round the sun and everything in the universe is under discipline. We need discipline at every step of life, even in such free and natural actions such as breathing and blinking. All things ongoing in the society will come to a standstill.

We are firstly taught to be disciplined at homes. We learn social etiquette and inculcate respect towards our parents and elders. We are taught all this with affection and when needed, punishment. The training of the significant skill is continued at school and further we learn from our society.

Discipline makes us respect laws in society. If we are set free to whatever we feel like, then we would make mistakes without even knowledge. Without discipline society’s progress will be imprisoned and decency destroyed.

Discipline is a moral obligation and is followed in every school. Even the smallest things-using the public litter bins, is a form of disciplinary education.

Teachers play a pivotal role. They inculcate the sense of right and wrong and help us evolve into strong individuals. They have a significant role in our lives since childhood to university level. They are building the future of the nation.

Discipline has the potential to make the entire world a heaven of peace. It has the ability to change a man’s soul to sympathetic one.

Disciplined people, by their very nature, get admired and respected by everyone.
